Our Mission
“The Migration Alliance – the collective voice on migration – brings together in one body likeminded organisations with an interest in migration policy. It strives to co-ordinate and disseminate reliable information on the positive economic and social benefits made by migrants in the UK. The Migration Alliance stimulates and informs public debate on the totality of migration issues; providing a forum to generate ideas and best practice on future migration, that are in the best interest of the UK.”

Demonstrating the positive impact migration has had on British life has never been so urgent. Bringing together like-minded organisations to play an active role in communicating the contribution made to our society and economy by migrants can only help to inform the public debate on migration. The Migration Alliance is a forum for employers, trade unions and other organisations who want to counter the misplaced negativity surrounding migration in the UK and promote the benefits migration has brought to our public services, culture and economy.

The Migration Alliance brings together a wide variety of organisations from across Government; the public sector; the private sector; the trade union movement; think tanks and other organisations to engage in an alliance to counter negative perceptions of, and demonstrate best practice in, migration policy. The Migration Alliance will actively contribute to the migration debate through recognising Britain’s cultural diversity and mixed socio-economic basis.

The Migration Alliance, enables its member organisations to show that they are not only at the forefront of the migration debate and actively communicating with Government, the public sector, the private sector and voluntary sectors over migration issues, but that they are also determined to recognise and promote the benefits of migration to UK policy makers and the general public.
